This 1824 over 1 Capped Bust, Lettered Edge Half Dollar is really great looking! The coin is a high VF condition. There are hair lines, but I do not think they would keep the coin from slabbing. There is a scratch on the obverse at the 3:00 field. The rim patina is very nice with hues of blues and violets on both the obverse and reverse sides. The reverse side is nicer than the obverse side and gets closer to that beautiful, lustrous look. There are no mentionable rim dings and the overall appearance of this coin is stunning. It would be a great coin for the bust half, early half type collector or the one looking for hard to find over-dates in mid-grade.
